Gulf Gate is our first mainland neighborhood off the Stickney Point bridge — two miles from the sand, built in the 1960s on old citrus land, and still wearing its era proudly: single-story Florida ranches on generous lots, mature palms and oaks, no HOA telling anyone what color the door should be, and the Village's international restaurants within walking distance.
Sixty-year-old neighborhoods carry sixty-year-old garage hardware, and Gulf Gate proves it daily. We see original one-piece doors still swinging on tired hardware, first-generation sectionals with open-bearing rollers howling down quiet streets, and springs that outlived every warranty they ever had.
